is the newest restaurant underway in west San Jose . The business will take over the former Iguanas Burritozilla space located at 405 Saratoga Ave. Owner Jeannie Lee tells What Now San Francisco that they are hoping to open by mid-June.
While the restaurant’s name gives a pretty solid idea of what to expect on Modak’s menu, we’re sure there’s a lot yet to be discovered when it comes to the traditional Korean cuisine Lee says they will serve. They will also have a beer and wine selection, based on the pending license found in state public records this week.
Modak Korean Chicken joins a neighborhood that is already home to food stops like Starbucks, Kung Fu Tea, Bijan Bakery & Cafe, SGD Tofu House, Hunan Mifen, and more. Anchored by Lion Market, the Saratoga Square shopping center sits across the street from The Harker School’s Upper Campus.
It would come as no surprise if Modak Korean Chicken becomes a new favorite for high schoolers and school faculty alike. A website and social media accounts for Modak are forthcoming. Stay tuned.
